3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (Achilles) could return if the Rams make the playoffs, according to head coach Sean McVay. At this point, the Rams seem like a lock to get into the postseason as they look like a top-3 team in the NFC. Still, McVay made no guarantees that the 2020 second-round pick would be available for a playoff run, as he simply said: "he wouldn't rule it out." "He's on track to do that, he was running at 80% body weight at 10 miles per hour pretty effortlessly," said McVay. Upon his return, the former Florida State star will likely be eased back into a significant workload, as Darrell Henderson Jr. has been the workhorse this season. However, the Rams likely want Akers to regain that role as soon as possible while not compromising his health going into next year.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
