Cam Akers Going Full Speed, Will Make Debut Sunday
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that running back Cam Akers (Achilles) was "full speed, flying around" at practice on Wednesday and is looking forward to seeing Akers make his season debut in Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers. Akers has made a very quick recovery after tearing his Achilles this summer, but how much he'll actually will play this weekend will be determined during the week. Keep an eye on the 22-year-old's practice levels the next two days. Darrell Henderson Jr. will miss another game, while Sony Michel has averaged 23.4 touches per game in the last five contests as the team's lead back. Michel figures to see the most work in LA's backfield and will have RB1 upside as the Rams look to close out the year with the NFC West title.
