Cam Akers Should See Increased Workload

4 years agoLos Angeles Rams rookie running back Cam Akers is expected to see an increase in his workload in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, but he's still not going to be much more than a shaky RB3/flex in standard-sized leagues. In Week 5, he saw less than 20 percent of the snaps, and the team is still giving touches to teammates Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown. Akers is the type of player that you should be looking for later in the year, and he also has yet to see any work in the receiving game in his rookie season. Against a Niners team that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to the position so far in 2020, Akers won't have much upside this Sunday.--Gage Bridgford - RotoBaller
