3 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was benched late in Sunday's game against the Dolphins. He was 5-for-21 for 92 yards with two interceptions while adding five rushing yards and a rushing score. P.J. Walker replaced him and also quickly threw a pick. The Panthers quarterback situation is a mess, but we should assume Newton will remain the starter with Sam Darnold (shoulder) likely done for the rest of the season. The Dolphins defense has had a lot of success lately, but this game proves that Newton isn't quite the same player he was when he guided the Panthers to the Super Bowl in 2016.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
