Cam Newton Must Protect The Football Against Saints
7 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will take on Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints this Sunday in the NFC wild-card round. Newton is coming off one of his worst games of the season and will need to be at his sharpest against a Saints defense that has nine interceptions over their last four games. In two games this season against the division rival, Newton has three interceptions to only two touchdowns and a combined 350 yards. Turnovers have been an issue all season for Newton, who typically has the ball in his hands more than any other quarterback. Newton managed to rush for 51 yards in his last game against the Saints and will need to use his legs to make some plays. Of the eight quarterbacks active this weekend, Newton is a top-four fantasy play.
