4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton was lifted from Monday's loss to the Bills in favor of Jarrett Stidham, yet that doesn't appear to have swayed head coach Bill Belichick, who said Tuesday that he "would imagine" Newton will be under center in Week 17. The decision to start Newton again amidst tremendous struggles would be as much of an indictment against Stidham, who has also struggled when given playing time in 2020. Newton has thrown just one touchdown pass over his last five games, having averaged 103 passing yards in those contests. Even against an exploitable Jets Defense, Newton -- or Stidham -- is entirely avoidable both in DFS and season-long formats. Barring a final game barrage, it's likely that Sunday will feature Newton's final game as the starter in New England.--Jesse Borek
