5 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton went 24-for-50, racking up 324 yards in the loss to the Bucs on Thursday night. Though the veteran wasn't able to throw for a touchdown (again), his accumulation of yards through the air was enough to satisfy the fantasy managers who kept him in their lineups despite his average showings against Tampa throughout the years. With two losses in the books for the Panthers, they will hit the road for a showdown with the Cardinals in Week 3, with Newton also looking for his first touchdown throw of the season.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
