3 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton saw limited time on the field during Thursday's preseason matchup with the Washington Football Team. He completed 4-of-7 attempts for 49 yards in the 22-13 victory. Rookie Mac Jones saw more time on the field and looked impressive in the preseason opener. Both quarterbacks limited their mistakes, but Newton might have a legitimate challenger for the starting spot. Everyone is aware of the disappointing season Newton had in 2020. Despite that, the Patriots are giving him another chance to prove he still has something left in the tank. Although, Jones could limit Newton's leash as the starter, assuming he continues to play well.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
