Cam Sims Enters Concussion Protocol, Likely Out Saturday

2 years agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Cam Sims (concussion) has been entered into the league's concussion protocol, per Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post. Head coach Ron Rivera expressed doubt that Sims would be cleared in time to suit up for Saturday's preseason finale against Baltimore. Sims hauled in two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown last week for the Commanders, marking the team's lone aerial score during the preseason. Sims faces a muddled path to consistent targets come the regular season with Jahan Dotson likely to earn a significant role in his rookie campaign and Curtis Samuel healthy entering the year. The next best chance for Sims to suit up comes Week 1 of the regular season vs. Jacksonville on Sept. 11.--Jesse Borek
