Cam Sims Turning Heads In D.C.
6 years agoWashington Redskins wide receiver Cam Sims leads the team with five catches for 131 yards through two preseason games while wowing the crowds gathered at Bon Secours in Richmond during camp. The undrafted rookie has thrown a monkey wrench into the team's depth chart plans. Or a hand grenade. "I think what has happened is the free agent kid from Alabama (Sims) threw a hand grenade in this thing," Senior Vice President of Player Personnel Doug Williams said. Sims might be battling for the No. 4 receiver job with Maurice Harris, as the two battle for targets behind Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson. Brian Quick and Trey Quinn are also in the mix. If things break right, Sims could be a nice late-round sleeper in deeper leagues.
