Cameron Brate A Low-End TE2 For Week 5
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate could see a bit of fantasy value this week as the team is dealing with numerous injuries to pass-catchers. With fellow tight end O.J. Howard now out for the season with an Achilles injury, Brate will be the TE2 on the team for the rest of the season. For this week, the Bucs don't have Chris Godwin and Justin Watson while Mike Evans and Scotty Miller are questionable. This means Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate will be the most healthy pass-catchers that take the field. Brate hasn't done much at all this season, as he has a total of one reception for three yards on two targets. There is some risk in starting him this week considering he hasn't carved out a good role for himself this season, but the injuries could thrust him into a bigger role. Consider Brate a low-end TE2 for this week, but only start him if you are really in a bind with your tight ends. He is simply too unproven at this point to expect decent numbers.
