4 years agoThe Chicago Cubs brought aboard outfielder Cameron Maybin from the Detroit Tigers just prior to Monday’s Trade Deadline. Having missed time in 2020 due to injury, Maybin has opened the year just 10-for-41 at the dish, but it’s his 2019 form (.858 OPS) that the Cubs are hoping to bottle. Detroit got back infield prospect Zack Short, who was ranked as Chicago's No. 21 prospect per MLB Pipeline. Whereas Maybin was likely to see playing time down the stretch with the Tigers, he’s likely more of a platoon piece for the Cubs, which severely limits his fantasy intrigue in any format.--Jesse Borek
