4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Cameron Maybin has been removed from the club’s starting nine Saturday against Milwaukee and left-hander Brent Suter due to an illness. Kyle Schwarber will shift to left field, while Ildemaro Vargas will enter the lineup in place of Maybin. Since joining Chicago at the Trade Deadline, Maybin has had little fantasy impact, collecting a .667 OPS in 27 plate appearances. While he has some DFS intrigue when facing southpaws due to his low price tag, his 13 at-bats against lefties this year is too minute of a sample size to glean much info from. His next chance to rejoin the starting nine comes Sunday versus Brewers righty Adrian Houser.--Jesse Borek
