6 years agoThe New York Yankees are expected to place outfielder Cameron Maybin on the IL Sunday with a Grade-2 calf strain. The injury will keep Maybin out for around six weeks, which is unfortunate for him after a resurgence in a Yankees uniform this year. He's hit .314 with five homers, 27 runs, 14 RBI, and six thefts in 42 games for the Pinstripes filling in for the injury-depleted outfield. With the recent return of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, Maybin's playing time was destined to diminish anyways, but the injury opens the door for Clint Frazier to reclaim a permanent roster spot. It doesn't appear that Frazier will get recalled immediately, but fantasy managers should be ready to pounce on the waiver wire if and when he does get the phone call.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
