7 years agoWhile most of the New Orleans Saints starters won't play in the preseason finale on Thursday against the Rams, wide receiver Cameron Meredith will play a lot. He's returning from a torn ACL that kept him out all of last year and he also missed some time in training camp with the Saints. He hasn't caught a pass in an NFL game since the last game of the 2016 with the Bears. “I feel good,” Meredith said. “I’m starting to come out and feel like myself. Going out there, taking every rep that I can mentally and physically, it’s all important.” Meredith has been behind all of camp and mentally and physically needs to catch up with his new team. He'll get the chance Thursday, but he might get off to a slow start in the regular season. Meredith has plenty of bounce-back potential with his new team, but he's a late-round flier, at best, in deeper leagues currently. Ted Ginn Jr. might be a safer pick as the No. 2 behind Michael Thomas, and rookie Tre'Quan Smith might have more overall upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
