Camilo Doval Notches Eighth Save Of Season Monday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval picked up his eighth save of the season in Monday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Phillies. Doval came in to pitch the bottom of the 10th inning up by two with a ghost runner on second. He got the first out on a groundout, which advanced the runner to third. He then allowed a sacrifice fly for the second out and ended the game with a strikeout. The 24-year-old has done well this season, especially with teammate Jake McGee pitching poorly. Doval has converted all but one of his save opportunities and has a 3.26 ERA with 24 strikeouts and nine walks over 19 1/3 innings pitched. He definitely appears to be the Giants' bullpen arm to roster for fantasy at this time.
