Can Jaime Barria Reclaim Starer's Role?

5 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher Jaime Barria will get the start on Wednesday when the team takes on the Dodgers. Barria has been a huge disappointment this season after making 26 starts in 2018 while posting a 10-9 record with a 3.41 ERA. The 23-year-old got off on the wrong foot to begin this season and has bounced between the bullpen and starting rotation all year. Barria will have a tough task holding down an explosive Dodgers lineup and is coming off one of the worst starts of his career. The right-hander allowed nine hits and 10 earned runs through 3 2/3 innings on July 19 against the Mariners, ballooning his ERA up to an unsightly 7.36. Barria is not worth a play in fantasy for Wednesday but there will be plenty of Dodgers hitters that will have a favorable matchup.--Joey C - RotoBaller
