Cardinals Extend Harrison Bader On Saturday
3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals have signed outfielder Harrison Bader to a two-year contract extension that covers his final two years of arbitration, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The deal is worth $10.4 million. Bader, 27, is coming off a productive 2021 in which he slashed .267/.324/.460 with 16 HRs, nine stolen bases, 45 runs, and 50 RBI over 103 games. He is mostly known for his glove but does have some fantasy value given his power-speed profile. Bader's projected to hit at the bottom of the Cardinals order but should provide 20 home runs and double-digit stolen bases in a full season. ATC projects him for 19 HRs and 12 SBs over 140 games, along with a .245 batting average. The former third-round pick is being drafted around pick 233 and he can give good value at that cost.
