6 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy after their 45-10 blowout loss to the Broncos on Thursday night. McCoy has now been fired two straight years in the middle of the season as an offensive coordinator, also being fired by Denver last year. Arizona ranks dead last in the NFL in yards per game (220.3), second to last in passing yards per game (156.1), dead last in rushing yards per game (64.6) and second to last in points per game (13.1). Quarterbacks coach Byron Leftwich will take over the position and look to get running back David Johnson more involved while attempting to make life easier on rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, who looked awful on Thursday night.
