7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak was asked about starting pitcher Jack Flaherty and the possibility of the Cardinals moving to a six-man rotation. Mozeliak replied that he preferred the idea of a four-man rotation. Flaherty has been outstanding but was removed from the rotation and sent down to Triple-A when Adam Wainwright came off the disabled list a week into the season. Flaherty has continued to excel in the minors, and many were wondering if he would force his way into the rotation somehow. At least for now, it seems like adding a sixth starter won't be Flaherty's way in. He's sure to be the first one up if someone gets hurt, and with some of the St. Louis starters struggling to get outs, it may not be long before we see Flaherty up for good. It's not a bad idea to keep him stashed in mixed leagues if you have the room.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
