7 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed third baseman Jedd Gyorko (groin) on the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday with a left groin strain and recalled outfielder Adolis Garcia from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Gyorko could return in mid-September. Infielder Patrick Wisdom could see most of the starts at third base in his absence and immediately becomes an option in NL-only leagues. Garcia has just one hit in 11 big league at-bats and will be a bench bat for the Cards.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
