6 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals agreed to terms on a one-year deal to re-sign starting pitcher Adam Wainwright on Thursday. He will be entering his 15th season with the Cardinals next year, which will match Bob Forsch for the third most as a pitcher for St. Louis. It could be Waino's last season in the bigs, too, as he was hurt for most of 2018 and wasn't effective when he was on the mound, going 2-4 with a 4.46 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 8.9 K/9 across just eight starts. With Wainwright breaking down the last several seasons, there's no guarantee he'll pitch out of the rotation again either.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
