3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) could make his season debut on Saturday with a start against the Reds, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic. Manager Luis Rojas said that there's "a very real" chance that Carrasco's next start will be with the Mets, and that it could come as soon as Saturday. Carrasco has been out all season long due to a torn right hamstring, but he's made good progress towards finally making his return. Managers should continue to monitor updates on his condition throughout the week, as he can hopefully provide a solid late-season boost after going 3-4 with a 2.91 ERA, 1.206 WHIP and 29.3 percent strikeout rate over 68 innings of work in 2020.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
