Carlos Carrasco Dealing With Elbow Soreness
4 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas stated on Wednesday that starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco has experienced some soreness in his elbow. Rojas indicated that it isn't much of a concern at this point and that Carrasco has felt similar soreness over the course of his career. The Mets stated that Carrasco will rest the next few days and should be back facing live hitters next week. In light of this news, there is now some question about whether or not Carrasco will be able to ramp up in time for Opening Day. Carrasco was already a late arrival at camp this spring because he had to undergo additional medical tests due to his 2019 battle with leukemia. Managers should continue to monitor this development in the event Carrasco is forced to miss some time at the start of the regular season.
