Carlos Carrasco Heads To DL With Right Elbow Contusion
7 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right elbow contusion Sunday. Carrasco was struck directly in the arm by a comeback line drive in the second inning of Saturday's game and immediately exited. Shane Beiber will be recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move. The injury will come as a blow to both the Indians and fantasy owners, as Carrasco is a high-end starter. He now has a 4.24 ERA with 96 strikeouts and 22 walks in 91 1/3 innings pitched.
