Carlos Carrasco Leaves Monday's Start Early
2 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Carlos Carrasco left his Monday start against the Atlanta Braves after the second inning with what appeared to be an injury. Carrasco tossed two innings, allowing three runs while striking out one and walking one. The veteran hurler threw 51 pitches, including a 32-pitch second inning. The game did feature a 55-minute rain delay which saw Carrasco come back out after the delay to continue his start. He left after the second frame, with cameras catching him grabbing at his left side while walking down the tunnel to the clubhouse. Look for the Mets to update his status after Monday's game ends.
