4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) was stretched out to five innings in a simulated game in Port St. Lucie on Thursday, as he works his way back from a hamstring injury. He had no setbacks and remains on track for a return to the Mets' rotation in the second week of May. Assuming he stays on track, Carrasco will likely make a rehab start on May 4 for a Mets' affiliate on minor league Opening Day. Carrasco had a solid 2020 for the Indians posting a 2.91 ERA with 82 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched. He will slot into the Mets' rotation as their SP2 and should provide fantasy managers with elite ratios and solid strikeout totals, provided he can remain healthy.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
