3 years agoOn Saturday, New York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco went 4 2/3 innings pitched, allowing five earned runs on nine hits, including two home runs, and one walk in the Mets' 11-6 loss to the Angels. On the bright side, Carrasco did strike out seven in the rough outing in which he picked up only his second loss of the season. Carrasco, now 7-2, was coming off of his best start of the season in which he struck out 10 batters and allowed only two earned runs against the Padres last Monday. Unfortunately, he hit a buzzsaw in the Angels' lineup on Saturday which is beginning to heat back up after their 14-game losing streak. On the season, Carrasco owns a 3.93 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 68 strikeouts in 68 2/3 IP over 12 starts. He will try to get back on track when he faces the Miami Marlins at home next Friday.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
