3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) is now throwing full side bullpen sessions, according to Mets manager Luis Rojas. Rojas added that Carrasco looks and feels good and, as a result, he will potentially start a rehab assignment once he completes this step of consistent bullpen sessions. Carrasco hasn't pitched all season due to a hamstring strain. He has had multiple setbacks which have pushed his timeline back considerably. With this news, fantasy managers and Mets fans should remain cautiously optimistic. Carrasco has been close to starting rehab assignments previously, only to be shut down. The 34-year-old right-hander posted a 2.91 ERA with 82 strikeouts over 12 starts in the shortened 2020 season for the Cleveland Indians. He has yet to throw a pitch for the Mets.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
