2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (oblique) is on track to rejoin the team's starting rotation next weekend. Carrasco felt much better after throwing a bullpen session on Tuesday after he landed on the 15-day injured list with a strained left oblique last week. Oblique injuries typically require a longer recovery period, but the 35-year-old right-hander doesn't appear to be dealing with a serious strain. He will throw another bullpen session on Friday, but it's unclear if he'll make any minor league rehab starts before rejoining the Mets. It's good news for fantasy managers, although he'll be a bit more risky in his first start back, especially if he doesn't make a rehab start. Carrasco is 13-5 for the Mets in 2022 with a 3.92 ERA (3.65 FIP), a 1.29 WHIP and a 124:33 K:BB in 126 1/3 innings over 23 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
