Carlos Correa Has Right Finger Contusion
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, the Minnesota Twins are calling shortstop Carlos Correa's (finger) injury a right middle finger contusion. He will undergo imaging on Friday when the team returns to Minneapolis, according to interim manager Jayce Tingler. Correa was removed from the game early on Thursday after being hit on two separate occasions. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, but there's a chance this could be a more serious injury that sidelines him for more than just a day or two. Prepare for that possibility. If the 27-year-old winds up missing extended time, Nick Gordon would see an uptick in playing time at the 6 in Minnesota. Correa entered the day hitting .264 with two home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored in his first 99 plate appearances of the season.
