4 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is not among the club’s starting nine for Thursday’s contest against Texas and right-hander Lance Lynn, with Jack Mayfield manning the shortstop spot. Correa’s power numbers have dipped this season back to his 2018 level, having produced a .407 SLG through his first 35 games. In addition to having gone 3-for-15 over his last five games, Correa is likely getting the day off with a day game after a night game. His next chance to return to the lineup comes Friday versus the Angels.--Jesse Borek
