3 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa hasn't had the most ideal start at the plate in a Twins uniform. The 27-year-old entered play on Monday batting .133 with a .212 on-base percentage, one home run, four walks and 14 strikeouts in 33 plate appearances for Minnesota. Those kinds of numbers, including a 39.4% strikeout rate, aren't likely to continue, but it's been a slow start nonetheless. Correa also entered play Monday sporting a minuscule .188 BABIP, which likely has something to do with his lack of production at the plate. Additionally, the shortstop has never logged a strikeout rate north of 24% in his career, so that number also seems likely to improve over the course of the season.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
