Carlos Correa Out Of Lineup Due To "Back Stiffness"
7 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is not in the lineup Tuesday. Manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that Correa is dealing with "back stiffness." It is unclear at this time whether the injury occurred over the last few days or if this is something that Correa has been managing over the past few weeks. His exclusion from the lineup appears to precautionary, for now, but his status will certainly be up in the air for the next few games. Alex Bregman is expected to take over at shortstop for the time being with Yuli Gurriel or Marwin Gonzalez filling in at third. Correa this season is slashing .268/.352/.480 with 13 home runs, 16 doubles and 49 runs driven in.
