6 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (back) has been cleared to begin running and playing catch but has not been cleared to swing a bat. What began on June 25 with Correa being a late scratch from the lineup with back discomfort has now turned into an injury that will keep him off the field into August. It appears Correa suffered a setback during the All-Star break and the team is now proceeding with extreme caution in his rehab. Correa will certainly need a rehab assignment before he returns to the club and he may not see the field for at least two more weeks. Correa absolutely needs to be stashed in fantasy for the time being but this is the second season in a row where an injury has taken out a huge chunk of his season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
