Carlos Estevez Takes The Loss On Sunday
3 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Carlos Estevez took the loss on Sunday when he allowed one run on two hits over one inning in a 3-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Estevez entered in the eighth inning to try and preserve a 2-2 tie but wasn't able to get the job done. He coughed up a solo home run to Will Smith to give the Dodgers the lead and eventual win. Estevez also surrendered a single to AJ Pollock before the inning was over. The 28-year-old hurler owns an ugly 5.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 34:11 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings. He could have some fantasy value if the Rockies decide to ship off closer Daniel Bard at the trade deadline.
