4 years agoCarlos Felipe (9-1) earned his first UFC victory on Saturday night by taking the unanimous decision over Yorgan De Castro. Felipe did not have as many total strikes as De Castro, but he won in the significant-strike department, landing 78 (88 total strikes.) As expected, no takedowns were landed in this bout. Felipe was only outstruck in significant strikes once in the second round, and that was by one strike. Felipe came into this bout as the underdog but put on quite the performance.
