6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is out of the lineup Saturday against the Giants. The Rockies face a right-hander in Chris Stratton today, so it is peculiar for the power-hitting lefty Gonzalez to see his second day off in a row. Either Gonzalez is nursing an undisclosed injury or this could be a sign of things to come for the Rockies. They may be shifting away from playing their veteran right-fielder, who had been a mainstay in their lineup for the past decade. Gonzalez has struggled at the plate these past two seasons and is only on a one-year deal.
