4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez had another awful start in Friday's 9-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves. Martinez lasted just three innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out three. Martinez was just throwing batting practice out there, and he's now allowed 25 runs in his last 14 2/3 innings (including a seven inning, two run performance his last time out). He'll likely get another chance or two, but if he keeps pitching the way his 6.62 ERA implies, he won't be able to stay in the rotation for much longer.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
