4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez rebounded well on Sunday after two bad starts in a row. Martinez had allowed 10 runs in just 2/3 of an inning then followed that up with five runs in four innings in his previous two starts. He looked like a completely different pitcher on Sunday though, allowing two runs (zero earned runs) on four hits and a walk while striking out six. His ERA had reached 6.21, but the seven innings with no earned runs on Sunday dropped it to 5.54. He still took the loss though, dropping to 3-7 on the season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
