7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (lat) was able to long toss on Monday. It's the first time he's thrown since landing on the disabled list a few weeks ago with a strained lat. Martinez said he did not feel any pain during the long-toss session, but Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said that Martinez was likely still a week or two away from returning. Martinez's next step will likely be to throw off a mound. He should remain stashed everywhere.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
