4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon will have his scheduled start on Thursday versus the Minnesota Twins pushed back to Saturday versus the Kansas City Royals. Manager Tony La Russa said on Wednesday that the lefty is dealing with both hamstring and back tightness. La Russa said that Rodon could have pitched tomorrow if necessary, but the White Sox didn't want to push him if they didn't have to. Rodon has been off to a magnificent start this season and owns a 5-0 record to go along with a 0.58 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 31 innings. Managers should have no concern plugging Rodon into their lineup on Saturday. Starting pitcher Lance Lynn will be moved up to pitch on Thursday in place of Rodon.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
