Carlos Rodon Throws No-Hitter
4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon threw a no-hitter on Wednesday versus the Cleveland Indians. Rodon retired the first 25 batters he faced, but Roberto Perez reached base from a hit by pitch. The lefty would then retire Yu Chang and Jordan Luplow to complete the no-hitter. He also recorded seven strikeouts on the evening. The veteran lefty was non-tendered by the White Sox this offseason, but felt he had unfinished business and returned with the team on a one-year, $3 million deal. The deal certainly looks to be paying off early on in the season. The lefty has always had good stuff, but injuries have come up too often for him to reach his full potential. Rodon hasn't allowed a run on the year in two starts and should be rostered in all fantasy formats. Next up for Rodon is a date with the Boston Red Sox on Monday.
