Carlos Rodon Will Miss Monday's Start With Stomach Illness
4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (illness) has been scratched from Monday's start with an upset stomach. Rodon went five scoreless innings in his season debut and struck out nine with two hits allowed and two walks. Rodon has always been a valuable pitcher when he is healthy, but that has been few and far between during his career. Dallas Keuchel will replace Rodon on Monday and has given up nine runs (seven earned), five walks and struck out seven batters over nine innings in two starts. Keuchel should be avoided in all formats on Monday and is a low-end starter in the deepest of leagues that can put up with his low strikeout rate. Manager Tony La Russa will keep Lucas Giolito in line for Tuesday's start and its possible Rodon could pitch on Wednesday versus the Cleveland Indians.
