Carlos Santana Back From Restricted List
2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners reinstated first baseman Carlos Santana from the restricted list due to a family emergency on Saturday and optioned infielder Kevin Padlo to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. Santana missed the game on Friday, but he's back to close out the first half of the season with Seattle and should be back in the starting lineup on Saturday against Texas Rangers right-hander Spencer Howard. The 36-year-old switch-hitter is batting just .222/.357/.364 with seven home runs, 27 RBI and 27 runs scored in 225 at-bats this year between the M's and Kansas City Royals, but he's been better in his 15 games in Seattle, going 12-for-49 (.245) with three home runs and six RBI.
