2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners placed first baseman Carlos Santana on the restricted list on Friday due to a family emergency and recalled infielder Kevin Padlo from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. It's unlikely we'll see Santana again before the All-Star break next week. The 36-year-old veteran will close out the first half of the 2022 season with a weak .222/.357/.364 slash line, seven home runs, 27 RBI and 27 runs scored in 225 at-bats with the Mariners and Kansas City Royals. He's been better in 15 games for Seattle, going 12-for-49 (.245) with three home runs and six RBI.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
