Carson Kelly Diagnosed With Wrist Fracture
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly (wrist) was diagnosed with a right wrist fracture and will likely be taking a trip to the injured list. The 26-year-old was nailed by a Walker Buehler pitch and was forced to leave Saturday's matchup against the Dodgers as a result. Kelly has played relatively well and has also been a routine presence in the lineup throughout the year, batting .260 to go along with 26 RBI, 22 runs, and eight dingers throughout 185 plate appearances. He will likely be replaced moving ahead by the duo of Stephen Vogt and Daulton Varsho, although neither man can't be relied on to fill the void caused by Kelly's anticipated extended absence.
