Carson Wentz Completes Five Passes In Week 15 Win
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz completed five of 12 passes for 57 yards, a touchdown, and an interception during a 27-17 Week 15 win over the New England Patriots. On Saturday, Wentz committed his sixth interception of the season but managed to notch a passing touchdown on a double-reverse to Nyheim Hines in the first half. He was also used as a ball carrier in several short down and distance scenarios, including two or three critical fourth-down conversions. Wentz has thrown for a combined 215 passing yards in his last two games. This is due to the run-centric game plan that Colts head coach Frank Reich deploys with star running back Jonathan Taylor in the backfield. In addition, Wentz has been a game manager as of late, making him a liability in fantasy lineups moving forward.
