Carson Wentz Delivers Monster Performance In Week 16 Win
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz completed 18 of 28 pass attempts for 225 yards and two touchdowns during a 22-16 Week 16 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Wentz had thrown for under 200 yards in his previous two games but was asked to step up his usage and passing attempts to seal the third-straight win for the Colts in the Desert on Saturday night. Wentz rolled out of the pocket and bought time before finding Dezmon Patton in the back of the end zone in the final seven minutes of the game. He also threw another touchdown to veteran wideout T.Y. Hilton in the first quarter. Wentz played a turnover-free game and showed he's more than capable of winning games without getting bailed out by star second-year running back. Jonathan Taylor, who still managed to rush for over 100 yards on Saturday night. Wentz should remain a QB2 against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 due to their lackluster run defense.
