5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz said he is not concerned with the team drafting Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts. Wetz is under contract through 2024, so the team using a second-round pick on a high-profile QB was one of the more interesting picks of the draft. Wentz played 16 games last year, but has dealt with the injury-prone label in his career as he's played just two series in the Eagles last three playoff games, including leaving last year's Wild Card Round matchup early in the game. As talented as Hurts is, Wentz is clearly the starter in Philadelphia. He threw 27 touchdowns to just seven interceptions last season and has an interception-rate under two percent three straight years.
